Why 35??
Perimenopause can start earlier than we think and if we hide our head in the sand and ignore it we will SUFFER through the later years and onset of symptoms.
APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
The latest and greatest research on Apple cider vinegar (ACV) shows that it helps regulate blood sugar. In menopause oestrogen levels fall, you become more susceptible to developing type two diabetes. Keeping our blood sugar under control can help combat this. Combine with low added sugar intake. (Even if it isn’t refined - read the nutrition label)
FIBER SUPPLEMENT
Menopause is know for abnormal weight gain - you know “all the ways that I’ve tried to lose weight in the past don’t work anymore and all the weight is around my belly”. We could talk for ages about why and what and how but increasing fiber intake (25g a day) and balancing blood sugar can be good starts to make sure our body is responding to what we eat in a healthy way. It’s not about flat bellies it’s about our cardiovascular health!!
VITAMIN C CRYSTALS
Finally, Vitamin C. Okay this isn’t for just women it’s for everyone. Even my kids get 1000mg a day. (Research is showing high dose benefits - I’m talking 2500mg!!) the basics?? Vitamin C, specifically Sodium Ascorbate, is necessary for the growth, development and repair of all body tissues. It’s involved in many body functions, including formation of collagen, absorption of iron, the proper functioning of the immune system, wound healing, and the maintenance of cartilage, bones, and teeth. And there is even more where that came from - yes mom I’m convinced.
And of course a nice glass of water to start the day but remember: a gallon of water a day is NOT NOT NOT a good idea for everyone.
Cheers!! ✨
